i cannot see the original recipe to confirm but i think what has happened here is that all the figures with absurd numbers were converted from metric measurements (grams or milliliters, depending on the ingredient), and directly changed to imperial measurements without actually converting the associated numbers.

the recipe seemingly actually calls for 4 pounds of lamb leg, about 18oz of red wine, 1 pound of baby bella mushrooms, 32oz of beef broth, 2.25lbs of potatoes, and 5ish oz of sweet peas, which is a comparatively reasonable amount of material to put into a slow-cooker.

…not sure about the flour or parsley measurements, though.
